Much of electronic music is synthesized and that includes percussion. As patches got more realistic over the years, compact drum machines began to replace drum sets in many home studios.
You may have seen tons of videos on Youtube featuring artists and DJs banging away on pads and buttons creating intricate drum patterns with only their fingers. For example, you can have your right hand be the kick and your left hand be the sticks. Or maybe your right hand is playing down beats and your left playing upbeats. With just a little daily practice, some good techniques and a metronome, most people can become very adept at finger drumming.
We think finger drumming is an art in and of itself. What do you think?
